Surface Design with Caelin McDaniel of McDaniel Pottery

When: Saturday, November 17th, 2-4PM

Cost: $50

Come and try your hand at some amazing techniques for decorating your pots. Local Ceramic Artist Caelin McDaniel of McDaniel Pottery will be hosting a workshop at the Pot Shop!

This one-day class will teach you how to use underglaze, slip-trailing, scratching and stamping techniques to enhance the surface of your pots. You'll be working with leather-hard and bone-dry clay tiles that you can give as gifts or use to make your house an even more enjoyable place to be. Nothing is better than learning how to boost your creativity on a cool Fall Saturday. (You know I'm right, don't cha?)

Feel free to bring something from home that would make a cool texture or stamp. Anything from a bolt to a pen cap. If not, we have tons at the Shop.

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED, just bring your curiosity and your smiling face. :0)

This is a BYOB event, just please be responsible and respectful.

One-Day Classes - $75
Who wouldn't want to get dirty on a Saturday?! This one-day class is a great way for beginners to get their hands in mud and create something. (I promise, you will have fun doing it. It's almost impossible not to.  Unless you woke up on the wrong side of the bed, of course.) The  beginning of class will be a quick demo and then you get to sit at a wheel and create a pot of your own. Your piece will be trimmed, fired and glazed for you (you choose the color during class) and  then you can pick it up in a week or two. All  ages welcome. Kids under 8 with an adult please.
